Is it possible to somehow restrict amount of hosts doing one action in same time. For example I will launch action for 100 hosts but I want to set a restriction doing only ten hosts at same time because resource limitations. I used NFS server for action and 100 or more hosts could be crash my NFS server.
Is it something like this possible set for BigFix application?
When an Action is deployed, one of the Options available is “Temporal Distribution”. It allows you to spread the action over a span of time. When the option is used, each client is given a “delay” that will spread their start of the action through that span of time. I believe the delay is actually picked at random from the space specified, so be sure to choose a large enough span to be sure you don’t get too many client starting at the same time.
