Restart Google Chrome after a browser version update

Dear gurús,

I’d bet this isn’t a new topic.

I’ve been looking for an actions script allowing BigFix to restart Google Chrome after a browser’s version update.

Apparently, it’s no possible to externally (i.e. via CMD) invoke the “chrome://restart” at the address bar in the browser.

This would leave me few alternatives such as:

  • Update Chrome deployed by mean of BigFix,
  • Kill the process as shown at https://bigfix.me/fixlet/details/3978, and
  • Restore last session by launching Chrome with “–restore-last-session” command line switch

I will test the above to see if I get to any decent outcome.

If you have already solved this please let me know; it will save me a lot of time :smiley:
