Removing Computers Using WebUI

Is it possible to delete computers in the WebUI?

Not yet.
The development team is working hard towards Console parity (you can do the very same thing with WebUI as well as Console, but with a better look). Stay tuned!

This capability now exists. As a master operator I can see the option to Remove Device via WebUI but for non-MO, how do I grant the permission?

A NMO can delete his managed computers if Can Create Actions is set to YES:
https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/10.0/platform/Platform/Config/c_understanding_operator_rights.html?hl=Remove%20computer%20from%20database

But does that apply to the WebUI?
This non-MO has the ‘Can create actions’ permission but does not have the Remove Computer option in Web UI v10.0.8

Yes, it should apply to the WebUI as well; operator permissions defined in Console are used by the WebUI, too. If the very same NMO is able to remove computers from the Console, then open a support case: an engineer will look into this discrepancy…

Regards.

I can confirm on my side it doesn’t work, too :frowning:
I take it’s a defect to be fixed. As a workaround you can provide custom content privileges (just empirically found  )

I was able to reproduce with adding Custom Content permission and how Remove Computer is an option but is a no go for this user. I’ll open a case.

thanks

That should also apply to the WebUI because it makes use of the operator permissions set in the Console. Open a support ticket if the same NMO may remove machines from the Console, and an engineer will investigate this issue.

The issue was fixed in the latest release: https://support.hcltechsw.com/csm?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0103755
