I’m wondering about the relay selection process by the client. My understanding is that it will select relays based on hops. I’ve got about 1000 clients in one site and they were connecting back to the BES Root directly. I’ve got automatic relay selection enabled. I’ve recently deployed a relay in the same location. Is there a way to load balance between the two servers? or is the client smart enough to do this by itself?
I’ve used the _BESRelay_Selection_RelayPriority setting to let clients connect to the relay so the root server is free to do other things. The relay and root server are pretty close in terms of hops. Would using the RelayWeight setting be better for us? Could someone explain that setting a little bit?
Thanks for the reply Bhushan, I’ve already got all the clients set to select relays automatically. I was just wondering if there is something i can do so that the load is balanced between the root server and the relay.
