Relay Selection When BES Client Process Starts

When users use their notebooks at home, bes clients cannot reach any relays or bes server.
In this case, naturally, bes server remains in their relay settings.

the problem is here ;
when they come to work and their notebooks join to enterprise network, clients are connecting to bes server directly. Automatic relay selection is used. Clients dont trigger a regular relay selection at beginning of bes client service.

until next relay selection time (6 hours as default), they remain on BES Server.

What do you recommend such a situation ?

Have you considered putting a Relay in your DMZ and specifying it as a Failover Relay?

Clients will perform a new relay select if they cant get to the “selected” relay usually way before the 6 hours. This is usually based off report failures.

Its based off the following setting.

_BESClient_RelaySelect_ResistFailureIntervalSeconds

Type: Numeric
Version: 5.1
Platform: All
MinNumeric: 0
MaxNumeric: 21600 (6 hours)
Default: 600 (10 minutes)
Requires Client Restart: NO
Description: Duration in seconds to ignore reporting failures before attempting to find another relay.

I found a fix which had been released for this
