Relay on Linux + ARM cpu

(imported topic written by iLorenz)

Hi everyone!

We’re investigating the possibility of installing the relay software on smaller (than a regular PC) devices, like

http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/beagleboard

these devices can run regular Linux distros, but are ARM (and not X86) based.

I’ve not been able to find this information on IBM website… is the relay software able to run on the Linux / ARM platform?

(I’ve seen the CLIENT can run on Windows CE /ARM, but it is not supported on Linux /ARM… and afaik the client is needed for the relay to work… it this a show-stopper for us?)

Many thanks!

Oh,btw I’ve found several IBM documents about the supported platforms… such as

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/prodguid/v1r0/clarity-reports/report/html/osForProduct?deliverableId=1321030671642

but it seems to report different data from

http://tivoli-ug.org/ug/local/na/usa/ga/145/m/mediagallery/356/download.aspx

(in case you can’t open it, open from here:

http://goo.gl/c5Vgp

in short, it seems the ARM platform is either unknown/unsupported or supported only on Windows CE devices…

I understand that’s quite a strange question but… has anyone access to this information? (Will the BES Relay run on Linux/ARM) or has anyone tried installing it in such a platform?

Thanks!
