Things to check:

  1. Did you try the URLs in the browser to see if they return anything?
  2. Did you verify if your Red Hat account/subscription is still active? The download plugin cannot check for this.
  3. Check to make sure configuration settings are correct in the plugin.ini file (should be located in same directory as the Red Hat download plugin).
  4. In the plugin.ini file, increase the logging level. Look for the section [Logger] and set the parameter “debug=5”.

Also make sure the plug-in is the latest version offered on the “Manage Download Plug-ins” dashboard.

@usman - What resolution did you reach to fix this problem? I am experiencing the same.

@Hermosillo solution is to get a red hat account subscription then subscribe a plugin with those credentials or you can take an advantage by using a custom repository if your intention is to just test it otherwise you need redhat account subscription for doing a patch

Using custom repositories is fine for production use if that’s the way you want to go.
If you want to use BigFix server and relays to download and distribute the packages then you need a Red Hat subscription that has access to the packages.

Thanks all. Found that our existing RHN account used for the plugin had an expired subscription. Even though the logs indicated a successful RHN login, it was not able to retrieve the patches. Wished the logs had better verbosity to help identify this. Once a new RHN account was used it began working.
