Red Hat patching failed

Hi, I’ve been struggling to patch some Red Hat servers for some time now & feel like I’m hitting my head against a brick wall. I’ve downloaded the server Identity Certificate from Red Hat & copied in into a folder in the certs folder, but BigFix doesn’t appear to like it? The logs are also complaining about the certificate on the https://cdn.redhat.com site too?..

3109 : 2018-05-15 13:23:24 : INFO : Download failed for https://cdn.redhat.com/content/dist/rhel/workstation/7/7Workstation/x86_64/rhn-tools/os/repodata/repomd.xml. Handling ValueError exception with message: SSL key is None. Will retry.
3109 : 2018-05-15 13:23:24 : WARNING : No Entitlement Certificate(s) found in ‘/var/opt/BESServer/DownloadPlugins/RHSMProtocol/certs/Server’.

Can anyone help at all?

Thanks.

John

We just went through a similar exercise.

Make sure you follow all the steps in the setup guide:
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/Tivoli%20Endpoint%20Manager/page/Using%20the%20Red%20Hat%20Subscription%20Management%20(RHSM)%20download%20plug-in

We had some issues getting the RHSM plugin set up, and I know we tried a couple different cert types before getting it right.

Thanks Martin, I was using the wrong cert. It works great now. Thanks for the help.

John
