Quiet Mode behavior for Downloads

We are researching quiet mode, and are wondering what happens to a download started before quiet mode when quiet mode takes effect. We have an IBM SME who is saying it will pause the download during quiet mode then resume the download afterwards (not cancel and restart). Is that the case? What does it actually do? Is it different for Linux and windows clients?

When the BES Agent enters quiet mode it pauses downloads, the compliance API, and uploads when the message Start quiet mode is shown in the log.

The HTTP download may take a moment to stop but should cease when the next block has completed and resume with the file partial download after the quiet mode is over.

This is the same for all BES Agents.

Using Linux (Red Hat) client 9.5.5.196, what actually happens is the endpoint finishes downloading the file then starts quiet mode after It completes. There is no pause and resume.

This shouldn’t happen but could be related to the download plugin in use. I’d suggest a PMR should be opened if you want to continue.
