Is there any support for Vista and windows 2008 in the console there is only support for Windows XP and Windows 2003.
In the assistant helper consol you can define if you want the operator to only watch or take control of the work station.
It seems that these to policies can’t work together at the same time which would be difficult for large helpdesk organizations.

Hi hans,
We currently support XP through Vista for remote desktop. Remote assistance should be coming for Vista at some point in the future.
When you have a remote assistance helper, you can define whether they can watch and control or just watch… I am not sure if I understand your question about the policies not working together… Can you explain more?

What I mean with the question is that it seems from the bes console that one can only have one policy at a time per pc either take control of the user desktop or view it.
What I want to understand is if one help desk operator can view a desktop will another can take control of a users desktop.

Yes… I believe that setting for Microsoft Remote Assistance is a per-computer setting rather than a per-user setting. If you know a way to set it otherwise, let me know… I will check around a bit too…
