The Tivoli Endpoint Manager for Lifecycle package and the Tivoli Endpoint Manager for Software Use Analysis product include an analysis called “Microsoft SQL Server and Client Tools Version Detection.” The data from this analysis can flow into the Software Use Analysis reports to give you various rollup reports with filtering and sorting.
The analysis reports the following:
Installed SQL Server 7.0 instances (including MSDE), versions, and service pack levels, if applicable
Full name of installed SQL Server 2000 instances (including MSDE), versions, and service pack levels, if applicable
Full name of installed SQL Server 2005 instances (including Express), versions, and service pack levels, if applicable
Full name of installed SQL Server 2008 instances (including Express), versions, and service pack levels, if applicable
Core Processor Count
Physical Processor Count
Installed SQL Server 7.0 Client Tools version, if applicable
Installed SQL Server 2000 Client Tools version, if applicable
Installed SQL Server 2005 Client Tools versions, if applicable
Installed SQL Server 2008 Client Tools versions, if applicable
All SQL Server, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services instance names and versions, if applicable
