Q: Serial number using web reports SOAP API

Hi,

I’m new to Bigfix, and I’ve been digging through the documentation but I can’t seem to figure out how to generate a list of Serial Numbers using the Web Reports SOAP API.

I can do “(names of it, cpus of it) of bes computers” to get hostnames and cpus, but I can’t figure out how to get serial numbers.

Device Serial Number info is named as “Identifying Number - Windows”.
You need to activate the IBM Analysis name “Hardware Information (Windows)” of site “BES Inventory and License”.
You could also create a custom property for this if you don’t want to use IBM Analysis.
