I wanted to warn all of the forum users to be careful about following links posted to the forum. The forum software allows for posting links in such a way that it is not always clear where the link will go.
In the past, malware / phishing / support scam links have been fairly obvious as the postings were far off-topic, but now I’m seeing posts that look pretty close to on-topic that contain scam links.
Be careful when clicking on links, especially when they are posted by unfamilar users and newly-registered accounts.
