We have setup Baselines to patch our Servers.
The initial component of the baseline is a reboot task that uses the command restart 60.
We are seeing servers where as soon as the command is issued, they will start the reboot process but hang and never come back, they are pingable but we are not able to RDP into those servers.
The only solution is to force a hard shutdown of the instances from the AWS Console. After that, the servers will come back and the BigFix Agent will continue the execution of the baseline.
The curious thing is that we have reboot components after installation SSUs and a final reboot which are executed without issues.
There seems to be problems with Nov and Dec SSUs updates, but we are not seeing reboot loops, the machines just come back fine after a hard shutdown.
We are looking into logs and about to open a case with AWS. However, I would like to know if somebody in the community has faced this issue before.
