Problem encountered when migrated to new VLan/IP

hi guys. recently we migrated one of our server vlan to another subnet where our bigfix server is located. before the migration everything is doing well on our bigfix server as well as the relay and clients. afterwhich all the clients experience issues on reporting. last report time is updating but patches are not pushing through. what ive noticed is that when i “send refresh to clients” last report time will update but as per checking with the actions i queued especifically patch installation it is not successful.

i also have a server vlans with no network and reporting issues at all. the only difference is that icmp is open. i already tried to update and reinstall clients and relays.

do you think it has something to do with icmp traffic?

Hi Mark,

ICMP traffic is only used during relay selection and it shouldn’t have any effect on any reporting…

Likely your problem is with traffic “A” (connections from server to relay) or “B” UDP from relay to Client:

i already check traffic on nodes A and B. i have a vlan that has no problem at all. and the only difference they have is that icmp is open on the good vlan and closed on the vlan which are experiencing that problem.

I suggest you contact support because it sounds like something about the network configuration has a problem (probably not ICMP related)…
