My company has a lot of Windows boxes and a lot of the servers that are registered to the BES console and are communicating back to the relay are grayed out in the BES Console. Is it possible to have Bigfix or the reporting agent send an email with the hostname if there is a communication problem? We have so many servers that by the time we do this cleanup in the console, it becomes overwhelming and very time consuming to resolve all the problems.
Under “Summarize”, choose “Last Report Time” and any other properties you want.
After you see the report, create a filter (top-left of web reports) for computers that have last report time greater than 1 day ago (or whatever time you want) and another filter to only show servers.
Store the report as “Not reporting servers” (or whatever name you like).
Go to “Scheduled Activities”, choose “new”, choose the “Not reporting servers” report.
Choose “Generate report when answer changes”.
Choose activity triggers and email options as you see fit.
Now that report will email you whenever it changes…
