Hello All–
We were using a “similar” product before we got BigFix. When we would install that product onto a workstation, we had an option to use from the workstation to deploy all relevant patches to the workstation.
Is there a way to do that using the BigFix client? Or do I always have to push through the Console?

why do you want to do it ? If you do that for all your clients you’re going to kill you network load.
Anyway, It is possible by a tricky way which bigfix won’t support i think.

I think the best way to perform the task you are looking for is to have the client install the patch at the local level.
BigFix does offer the local client to install relevant patches via the BigFix client UI.
But that would only be for that machine, allows for the user or local support to manage the machines at the local level.

Take a look at “offers” and see if that gives you what you want… Note that you could make a Baseline of a bunch of patches an “offer” and it would be easy for the end-user to use…
