Patches for ESX

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction or enlighten my on the reason for the site called Patches for ESX that is available to us in TEM 8.2. I have, to this point, been unable to find anything that shows TEM having the capability to load an agent or apply patches to an ESX server. Can anyone confirm if this is true and why this site is even available if TEM is not able to manage ESX operating systems?

VMware changed the architecture of ESX when it became ESXi and as I understand it, you can no longer load agents into the host. It’s locked down. My guess is the ESX site is a left over from days past, pre ESXi.
