Hi, I am using Bigfix 9.2 software in my lab environment. Do we need internet connection to client machines to apply the patches. How does this work.
no you don’t need internet connection on client’s machine if they’re connected to your cooperate network.

Clients only need to be able to talk to a BigFix Relay or Root Server.
The root server needs to be able to contact IBM to gather sites. The root server can use a Proxy and otherwise be isolated from the Internet, otherwise you need to use the AirGap tool to get around the lack of an internet connection.
Relays only need to be able to connect to other relays or the root server, as long as the root server is the one connecting to the internet or being manually cached using the AirGap tool. You can actually configure a top level relay to do the internet facing downloads instead of the root server. In this case it would be this top level relay doing the downloads and it could be the only one with an internet connection.
