Part number in BFI

Any idea how to encode this in Bigfix Invty>

I don’t fully understand your question, but I think you are asking how to import a specific IBM Part Number into BFI.

Use the Part Number upload process for that.

Create a text file with the single entry

D03PUZX

Then go to Management > Part Numbers Upload (but don’t check the Overwrite existing part numbers box).

Thanks for your reply. Do I also need to import the renewal part number?

For licensing you only need the primary part number.

If the renewal part number is imported, it will also show up in the report along with the License part number and can be useful to a SAM person who manages the licenses
