OSD wim image on USB

Hi all,

is there a way to get the wim image onto the USB media, so that the heavy data lifting can be done by the USB media?

Thanks,
Joe.

Yes, there is.
I don’t have a console handy now, but I believe the process is to use the Image Library wizard and the “Create deployment media” option.

Thanks for the reply Jason. I think that only puts the boot wim on, not the OS wim. I’d like the OS wim too, if possible.

There is definitely a way to do that, I don’t recall the exact detail (but should be able to check tomorrow). I think it’s in that dashboard, and it may have been one of the options to choose after selecting ‘create deployment media’

Ahh, sorry, I found the reference for it at https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS63NW_9.5.0/com.ibm.bigfix.lifecycle.doc/Lifecycle/OSD_Users_Guide/c_create_dep_media.html

It’s actually in the ‘Bundle and Media Manager’ Dashboard.

So it is. Thanks for your help.
