OSD Issue

(imported topic written by MROB91)

Hi All,

I’ve just completed an install, and looking into the OSD section.

I’ve managed to upload the MDT bundle, capture a reference machine etc.

Now when I go to the dashboard (OS Deployment Dashboard - Reimage) and select a workstation to apply the captured image to (win 7)

I receive

A number of selected computers (1) are not qualified for the specified re-imaging. See the list below for details. Click “Continue” to proceed with adding those computers that are qualified. the following error

Reason - Relay / Repository not valid: SEVERNAME

Has anyone encountered this before?

I’ve tried removing the client and I have updated the clients and server to the latest release through the bigfix management fixlets / tasks

I can confirm the capture process worked as the source machine is in a sysprepped state etc and the image is showing within the dashboard.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Have you verified that the relay being used by the OSD target system is the relay on which the image is stored?

Hi,

we’ve just updated OS Deployment and this issue should no longer be occurring in the new version. Rather than using image repositories and targeting in the dashboard, we pull the image to the client using BigFix’s normal streaming protocol through whichever relays it would normally follow. More information here: http://forum.bigfix.com/viewtopic.php?pid=28874#p28874

Thanks,
