OS X "AppNap" vs IEM client

After installing the IEM client, we’ve noticed that portable OS X clients running Mavericks tend to take a remarkably long time – many hours to days – to resolve baselines and install relevant packages. This is even despite using Energy Saver to prevent system sleep.

Have others found this? Aside from disabling AppNap in the operating system, has anyone found a way to mitigate this behavior?

Also, our site is running version 8.2.1409. Is this maybe not an issue in the latest versions?

Any chance you tried to disable it for the bes client?

What version of the client are you running on Mavericks?

You should be able to run the v9 client on Mavericks even if your site is 8.2.x

We do not have this issue, but we are using the v9 client.
