I am trying to automate all the phases of my clients’ set-up, from the deployment of the OS to the installation of all their softwares. I’d like to use Server Automation in order to do so. I think that there are 2 ways of deploying an OS with this module: by creating a RAD profile and using it with the fixlet “Deploy an operating system to one or more computers” or by using PXE with the fixlet “Deploy profile on Bare Metal Targets”. I already use BigFix to deploy an OS with a USB (I imported a .wim and created a bare metal profile). I’d like to know if this method can be used with Server automation module in some way instead of using the methods I listed before, because I read that RAD profiles don’t work with .wims and PXE is difficult to set-up in my environment.
