Orphaned sha files

(imported topic written by sinucus)

I run Tivoli in an unique way so my question might not be very common. In my sha1 folder on the Tivoli server I have quite a few files. I need a way to find any and all “orphaned” sha1 files that are not referenced by any current fixlets. I.E. I have a specific file in my sha1 folder and I created a “Custom Filter” that looks for fixlets with the sha1 encoded name in the action. If that turns up empty, that should imply that the sha1 file has been orphaned and is safe to delete. Is there an easier way to do this?

i think the new Cache Managment in the BigFix Labs allows you to view orphaned sha1 files:

From my understanding that is for Relay servers only. Not the main BES server.

Looking into it further, for some reason it does not show any results for me in the analysis view. I went through the actual code and it does not do what I ask. It only shows you what files you have in the folder, not if they are needed.
