Operators-no fixlet messages displayed

I am confused on what an operator should be able to do. I want all my operators the ability to do anything BUT assign management rights to other operators. I logged in as myself and gave my operators access to all computers.

Then I logged in as an operator that I created. There are NO fixlet messages displayed and tasks are limited. None of the BES task show up. No fixlet message show up either. I’ve allowed access to all computers through the console. There is nothing else to filter. What else am I missing. Do they all need to be master operators?

Hi olsonc58,

You can control operator permission by both computers and content.

You have done the part of computer visibility.

For content (Fixlets), go to Console, Tools/Manage Sites.

Select a site and choose Properties.

The Site Readers tab will allow you to grant read permission to individual operators.

Thank you Lee! Found it. Was this in any documentation anywhere that I missed? Didn’t see it in the admin or console guide.

I see references to this when I seach “reader” in both the Admin’s and Console Operator’s guides.

Obviously, I already know what I need to search for…
