Has anyone ever looked into “offline” patching of systems? I have some situations where my systems are never hooked up to the network and are unable to speak with the Tivoli server. I’m wondering if there is any way to send an action “offline” so that I can drop it onto the server and have it run. I’ll give you a few details below
I patch all of my systems through OS baselines, i.e. I have a single baseline which includes every patch for 2008R2. I’d like to take action on that baseline and someone dump that .fxf and sha files onto the client and somehow have it see it as legitimate traffic and run the action. I understand that I would not receive any feedback from the client, or even know if it was completed.
Thoughts?
