what are NMAP scan firewall requirements?
is there any ports or protocols to allow to run nmap scans on unmanaged assets ?
The simple answer is that NMAP is not a BigFix product, Bigfix is just running NMAP via a configurable wizard. So the answer to the question “What does NMAP require?” is simply whatever you tell it to require.
When you configure nmap you select the ports that it tries to use. By default it’s something like 22,23,80,135,139,445,61616 as well as configurable ICMP echo request expecting an echo reply in return.
