**Enhanced Flexibility and Customization for Self-service app (SSA) tasks**
We are excited to announce new updates to the task interaction workflow in the SWD Dashboard (Console) and Self-service app, designed to give you more control and provide a more intuitive experience for your end-users.
1. New Self-Service Application (SSA) Options
You can now customize how tasks appear in the Self-Service Application catalog. These settings allow you to align the user interface with the software's branding and specific workflows.
- Custom Task Icons: Elevate the look of your catalog by assigning unique icons to each task, making it easier for users to identify the tools they need at a glance.
- Dynamic Action Labels make the SSA more intuitive: Customize the primary action button to better reflect the task's purpose. You can now choose from a specific list of labels that automatically localize to the user's operating system language: Install, Repair, Remove, Get, Run
- File-less Task Creation
We have expanded the versatility of our distribution engine. You can now create tasks without including a file, removing the requirement for a payload when one isn't necessary.
This update is particularly useful for:
- Uninstallation Tasks: Run commands to remove software without needing to package a dummy file.
- Configuration Changes: Execute system tweaks, policy updates, or registry changes that rely solely on commands or existing system tools.
By combining these new customization options with greater flexibility in task creation, you can now deliver a more professional, clear, and efficient self-service experience to your entire organization.
Please note: The SSA now natively supports Windows 11 on ARM64 architecture.
