The BigFix team is pleased to announce an update to Software Distribution and the Self-Service Application.
Reasons for Update
New Features in Self Service Application (SSA 3.2.3):
• You can now use hyperlinks (HTML tags) in action pop-up notifications (In the text description area). This allows users to easily click through to a website with additional information.
• To help accommodate employee needs they can choose custom snooze date & time for Self-Service Application (SSA) actions.
• To minimize employee interruption System Administrators can choose a threshold for maximum number of SSA notifications allowed on the screen. When the threshold is exceeded, the panels are replaced with a single summary notification.
Fixed issues:
• KB0098225: SSA allows to close a message requiring a restart even when the deadline has been reached
• KB0101762: Software Distribution Analysis does not work on MacOS
Actions to Take
• Gathering of the site will automatically show the new updates.
• Users of the BigFix Self Service Application will need to update this component to version 3.2.3 using the following fixlets from Software Distribution site:
o Fixlet 302 to upgrade SSA for Windows.
o Fixlet 304 to upgrade SSA for Mac OS.
