New reports coming to Web Reports soon!

We will be releasing a collection of new content reports in Web Reports in the coming week, and wanted to give you some insight as to the changes you’ll see and solicit any feedback you might have. These reports are primarily geared toward newer users of BigFix to provide quicker access to out of the box inventory and patch data, and will provide a starting point for making additional custom reports.

The reports will be published in the sites with the content they reference, so existing Web Reports users will only see them if they have access to the site. Most reports will be part of BES Inventory and License site and a couple will be in each major OS patch site. Here is an example of one of the inventory reports:

Steve,

Can you provide a list of the names of the reports that were released?

They haven’t been released yet, but we will publish an article at that time that lists and describes each report. We are almost complete, so you should the release announcement in the next few days.

It would be nice to see bits and pieces of session relevance examples from these reports and others from Web Reports, the WebUI, wizards, and dashboards. shared separately on BigFix.Me .

Not so much a dump of the entire report’s session relevance, but the core parts that feed the report that could be reused and remixed by others. There aren’t enough easy to find samples of session relevance, and using BigFix.me would be a great way to document them.

+1 to @jgstew Suggestion.
Session Relevance could use more visibility.

These reports are not based on session relevance, so they won’t help with this effort, but we could certainly pull from other custom reports. Do you think it will be possible to label session relevance examples such that they can be found, or would we be better off starting a thread for people to post different samples?

That makes sense as far as those not using session relevance, but then I’d like to eventually see documentation on whatever new APIs are being used as well, though I can understand waiting if the APIs are still evolving.

I mean for them to be posted to BigFixMe, not the forum, though it wouldn’t hurt for them to be mentioned here.

Were these reports released?

I think so. I did see an announcement that there were new Web Reports released.

Yes, the majority were released last Tuesday, and the rest were spread out over the next few days finishing today. They should be appearing in your environment already, unless you are airgapped. Here are some details about the reports:
