New inspector search engine!

(imported topic written by BenKus)

Hey folks,

For anyone who is learning relevance or who regularly writes relevance, we have just created a new Inspector Search engine that lets you easily find those inspectors that you are looking for:

http://support.bigfix.com/inspectorsearch/inspector_search.html

You can search with multiple advanced options…

I find this page to be extremely useful and hopefully you all like it too… Let us know if you think we can improve it more or if you see any issues.

(Note that our inspector search engine supports both client side relevance and session relevance for custom reports.)

This is helpful, thanks!

FYI…

I’m getting “Forbidden” pages when drilling down to view the “Type” and “Return Type” for inspectors.

To recreate…

I did a search for “application usage” with all the defaults checked/selected.

Found 12 Inspectors

I chose the first one:

p application usage world timed( time range, integer )

The next page shows the reference for "application usage ". There are two hyperlinks provided for type and Return type ( and <timed( time range, integer )>). Both of those linked to a forbidden page/directory. I assume they should go to a definition or reference of that type or return type.

The behavior is the same from any of the other inspector reference that contain the Type and Return Type links.

Thanks,

tim7ad

Whoops… this was a bad url reference in one of the CGIs… I also fixed a missing bullet gif too… Thanks and let me know if you see other issues!

Note that the inspector search tool was just updated to allow for the new Unix/Linux inspectors included in BES 7.0.
