Hey folks,
When we are doing support, we often have all sorts of questions about deployments (number of agents deployed, number of relays, number of open actions, and so on). It often takes us a while to ask all the basic questions and it is usually frustrating for someone who has specific support questions… So to facilitate our support, we have introduced a new option in the Health Checks Dashboard that allows customers to submit aggregate info about their BigFix deployment to BigFix.
Here is what you do (note that this only works in BigFix 7.2+):
- Open the Health Check Dashboard
- Click on “Collect Deployment Information”
- You can review all the info that will be sent
- Click the button to “Submit to BigFix”
The data will be securely sent over HTTPS to BigFix. We will use the info for troubleshooting and it will also help us make better product decisions (i.e., “what is the average number of agents per relay?”, “how many customers are using AIX?”, etc.)
Feel free to submit your data even if you don’t have an active case…
