New BigFix Installation Missing Management Domain

We have a fresh install of BigFix with a remote database and I’m in the process of getting it configured.

It’s been installed for about a week now, but is still not loading the BES Support site. I noticed that it’s missing the common dashboards such as Management etc etc. I have a few firewall rules in place that should allow traffic, but I’m looking at our network firewall and see that the destination 169.53.158.142 is being denied while trying to be accessed by BigFix.

Would this likely be the problem? I understand that the dashboards populate as long as your license allows it, and ours does because we have it set up in two other environments. I’ve tried contacting the BigFix support, but they’ve been sluggish on responding.
For reference: this isn’t an airgapped environment and it has access to the internet, although with restrictions.

Yes, blocking access to that IP would cause such a problem. That is one of the IPs for our sync servers where all content sites are downloaded from. You can try enabling gather via HTTPS to see if that helps avoid issues with your firewall: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSQL82_9.5.0/com.ibm.bigfix.doc/Platform/Config/c_https_gathering.html

Thanks for replying, Steve. Our NS guys are adding that firewall rule, but I preemptively enabled gathering via HTTPS and after lunch I was able to see the BigFix Management button as well as the BES Support site. Next step: adding the other sites I need!
