We have a new BigFix users group set up on Facebook. We will be posting special content etc., up there from time to time, as well as providing a forum to speak with other BigFix personnel.
Sounds like a cool idea. Just a note on utilizing sites such as Facebook or Myspace for “work related” content. Many companies (mine being one of them) - block access to these sites (they fall under the “personal and dating” group). Luckily I manage the system that blocks this site for our network
Cool… We added a BigFix group to LinkedIn… It seems groups are a little new to LinkedIn at the moment so they don’t allow you to search for groups as far as I can tell, but I think you can click on my account and then see that I am a member of the “BigFix Group” and then add yourself:
I am running Windows XP, SP3. I have a CNET wireless network PCI CWP-854 adapter that I used to use on this machine. I removed it about 2 yrs. ago because a technician said it was not compatible with, I believe he said, Windows XP, SP3. It worked well with Windows XP, SP2.
I would like to use this adapter again, but I cannot get it to work. The Device Manager sees the card and says it is working properly. However, I cannot see any near wireless networks, including mine. When I try to view availabel wireless networks, I get a message that “Windows cannot configure this wireless connection…If you want to configure this wireless connection, start the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service. For information about starting the WZC service, see article 871122 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base on the Microsoft.com Web site.”
Will I be able to use this adapter? Is there a newer driver that would help? If ‘yes’, what do I do to make it work?
