Why isn’t there a canned fixlet or task to stop and disable the standard Windows Update client service (WUAUSERV)?
I am pretty sure I can write a fixlet to do it manually using HKLM/CurrentControlSet reghacks and SC command line util, but it seems natural that if I bothered with buying, installing and configuring BigFix, I would want to get Windows Update out of the environment ASAP.
Does anyone run both? If so, why?
