MS08-044 is for Office 2003 SP3 as well

I was looking at a PC which I was not only using BigFix, but the WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com as well. Came across MS08-044, which the WindowsUpdate site says I need, but BigFix doesn’t show that I’m relevant.

It looks like MS08-044 is also applicable to Office 2003 SP3 besides Office 2003 SP2. BigFix only has it relevant for SP2.

BigFix guys – please take a look at fixlet reference numbers 804411 and 8044413

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the report. 804411 and 804413 only apply to Office 2k3 SP2 because MS09-010 supersedes MS08-044 for Office 2k3 SP3 (but not SP2). This post might be of interest to you: http://forum.bigfix.com/viewtopic.php?pid=14366#p14366. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
