Missing Server COnfiguration Keys

Hello All,

We have an instance of BigFix that uses a database that is on a separate server than the application. The application server had to be rebuilt and these keys were lost:

EncyptedAPIServerKey
EncyptedPlatKey
EncryptedWebUICAkey

Does anyone know if there is a way to recover from this and attach the new application server to the old database or do we have to do a complete rebuild at this point.

We are getting all of the errors mentioned here:

But cannot use the tool because of the application server having been rebuilt.

The keys can’t really be recovered but you can “rotate” them (and create new ones) but as you don’t have the original keys you might have some issues. I’d open a PMR to get helped through the situation.

The WebUI instance if you have one installed may need to be re-installed if the key changes.
