I’ve noticed that a few Office 2007 security updates are not showing up in Bigfix. Here are some that I know of at the moment.
Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB2492475)
Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB2412171)
Security Update for Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007 (KB2413381)
Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB976321)
Update for Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 (KB980729)
These appear to be security updates so I’m unsure why they aren’t showing up in the console, yet they appear to be needed by a number of endpoints. Any ideas why they aren’t showing up? Thanks!
Four of the six updates you listed aren’t actually security bulletin security updates (the ones that start with MS-XXX that Microsoft releases every Patch Tuesday). The two that actually are security updates in your list are:
Security Update for Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007 (KB2413381)
Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB976321)
We do have the content for those two patches, and they’re not superseded, so it’s not immediately clearly to me why they’re not showing up as relevant on your endpoints. My guess would be that the right service pack for the office product isn’t installed? For the powerpoint viewer, the patch is looking for SP2. The office system one is looking for Office 2007 SP1/SP2.
We can add the other updates you requested onto a queue of non-security related hotfixes that Microsoft releases that we want to provide content for. I’ll open up a bug for it.
