I have a failed relay in a remote site. We are in the middle of rolling out an Office upgrade using BigFix. We have a new relay up and running but the clients are not finding the new relay as quickly as we would like. Is there a way to force an immediate relay re-selection by deleting a file or…?

There is a task in the BES support site called “Force BES Clients to Run Relay Autoselection” that you can use to force relay selection.
However, you should not run it on large numbers of machines at one time to avoid causing lots of ICMP traffic as the clients try to find their closest relay. You can use temporal distribution to mitigate this behavior.
Please read the notes in the task carefully before deploying.
