Is Bigfix aware of metered connections in the newer versions of Windows?
If it isn’t, could it be made aware?
Are you trying to throttle based on connection metering, or something else?
Would relevance to detect a metered connection, perhaps a task to change download throttling limits based on whether a connection is metered, be helpful? Or is the ask for new client settings to automatically do something different based on metering?
Our clients are not normally on metered connections, so our patch content blasts out to the world.
We had a user attempt to use a metered connection to limit data usage while on travel. Bigfix being unaware of this pulled down a ton of data.
Since we’re using standard patch content, it seems like it needs to be client side awareness of metered connections.
