I have an installation where MDM is completely configured front to back… ME, TSP, LDAP… using externally signed SSL and of course an APN cert via IBM signed csr, etc… Everything was set up per guidelines and is functioning…
However! When enrolling an iOS device, the profile is showing up as “Not Verified”. And when I click on install, I’m prompted with a warning to accept then a message saying that the “authenticity cannot be verified”.
It allows me to install it but I do not want users presented with this message. It’s not an SSL message… that cert is trusted via network solutions and I can get to the site without error. This message is on the profile itself…
There is a difference between the way iOS 5 and 6 handle signed certificates. For iOS 6 devices you need to add your intermediate certificate and root certificate. I have posted an explanation on our blog site.
I am having this same problem. I tried to implement what was written in the blog, but it was not entirely clear. Can you post clearer steps on what you did, starting with the *.pfx file? I would greatly appreciate it.
