Massive updates for Ubuntu sites planned for Monday 11th July

Massive updates for Ubuntu sites planned for Monday 11th July.

Published site version:
The content under the following sites will be updated:
Patches for Ubuntu 2004, version 159
Patches for Ubuntu 1804, version 373
Patches for Ubuntu 1604, version 411

Reasons for Update:
BigFix Patch team is running some maintenance activities on the published content.
The main goal of these activities is to improve the quality of the published data and remove the inconsistencies of the metadata values across the different sites.
We are planning a massive update of the Ubuntu sites content for Monday 11th of July.
The updates included as part of thie publishing are:

  • Update of the Source Severity values for USN fixlets. This is required to remove any dirty data we have identified, like invalid values or format
  • Use the semicolon “;” value as the separator for CVE values. Currently Ubuntu sites is using comma “,”. Going forward, the semicolon “;” separator is going to be the standard format for the separator of the CVE IDs across all the sites (some still needs to be updated).

We are NOT changing anything in the Relevance and Action script sections of the existing fixlets! The update affects only the fixlets metadata.

Once the publishing will be completed, a new announcement will be published in the forum.

Actions to Take:
Gathering of the site will automatically show the updates made.
