Linux Patch Rollback Task Wizard for Linux

Hi,

How do we roll back linux fixlet patches in BigFix as I coudnt see a Patch Rollback Task Wizard for Linux as like Windows it has. If I understand we may need to use the yum transaction history to undo the fixlet patches . could some one have a insight please advice .thanks in advance.

I don’t believe there is a built-in way to rollback, due to the complexities in the Linux package managers (which generally do not save uninstall info).

Can any one provide the action script for roll backing patches installed on linux server.

You didn’t specify your particular distribution, but BigFix supports Oracle and RHEL rollback using the yum transaction logs:

For SuSE, BigFix includes BTFS snapshot rollback capability to achieve the same objective- rolling back in case a patch has caused issues:
