Linux Infinite Loop Evaluation with SymLinks

Prior to opening a PMR or RFE I wanted to check with the forum if anybody else has experienced this.

I’m not sure which relevance is doing this yet, but we have symlink’d set of files that puts the BESClient into a tailspin. Essentially this is how a folder is laid out, and it causes the BESClient to choke as it can never get out of this folder structure.

`ls -l /path/to/nowhere

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2 Aug 1 2016 Debug -> …
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Aug 1 2016 include -> …/include
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6 Aug 1 2016 lib -> …/lib
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2 Aug 1 2016 Release -> …
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 Aug 1 2016 share -> …/share`

As you can see the application has symlinks going back to itself, causing havoc when the agent reads the folders.

Is there any way or bug fix for BigFix that would make it not go down the endless loop of poor symlinks?

please open a PMR for this issue.
