Latest fixlet/patch available for Windows, RHEL, etc,

Dear gurús,

I’ve been looking for a way to receive an alert everytime a new fixlet becomes available on the BigFix console. I’d bet this item has been covered hundred times but I couldn’t find anything useful :frowning:

I have to resort to manually check the latest version of the external site index. For example, for the sites of my interest:

Site | Versión | URL
Patches for Windows |4329 | http://sync.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/bfgather/bessecurity

… where 4329 is the “Version: 4329” stated in the URL.

When I see a change in the version sequence, then I check what 's new and evaluate if the fixlet is applicable or not.

BTW, I subscribed to the email lists (https://bigmail.bigfix.com/mailman/listinfo/bigfix-announcements) but seems to be unoperative.

Let me know please if there’s any alternative available.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Andrés.

These following is working for me:
https://bigmail.bigfix.com/mailman/listinfo/besadmin-announcements (all announcements)

That may be the only one actively in use.

I’m honestly not sure which listservs are still active, but you can also subscribe to the ‘Release Announcements’ category here in the forum…

At the upper left, above the Topic threads, you can click the drop-down to select a category like ‘Release Announcments’; then in the header row at far right you can click the circle-symbol drop-down and select ‘Notifications’. If you choose ‘Watching First Post’ you should receive an email when a new Release Announcement topic is created; if you select ‘Watching’ you’ll receive every topic and every reply to your mailbox.

There are occassionally publishes that have a late release announcement, but that should be rare; I mention it because it did happen once this week.

Thank you. I’ll give it a try.

Thank you Jason. Looks logical.
