KB947821 - Why is it in Patching Support?

While debugging a problematic Windows 7 machine, I discovered that the deployment task for KB947821 (System Update Readiness Tool, Windows 7 64bit) is in the Patching Support site.

Is there a rationale for this? Seems to me it should go in Patches for Windows.

(This categorization escaped my filters that look for Patches for Windows, so this little discovery may be quite a big deal for our Win7 machines.)

Likely because it is a tool more so than a patch, similar to the Malicious Software Removal Tool which is also in the Patching Support site. At least that’s my take on it. There are probably organizational reasons for it as well since the Patching Support site is a bit smaller which makes it easier to look through for tooling.
