KB4484211 - Databases on network share can't be accessed in Microsoft Office 2016

Databases on network share can’t be accessed by multiple users in Office 2016 (KB4484211)
This update fixes an issue in which Microsoft Access databases that are stored on a network share can’t be accessed by multiple users simultaneously in Microsoft Office 2016 after Security Update KB5002099 is installed.

HCL release fixlet for the new update KB4484211 to rollout the patch on all affected computers asap.

Is there any ETA to get the fix from HCL.

I’ll ask around internally to see if there are any plans for this one, but since this KB is not in the MS update catalog there will probably not be a fixlet. Unless of course this thread gets popular and PM decides to release one anyway - which is certainly possible.

Right now its a manual download and install from MS.

It is very critical to us as well. This has already caused two separate Sev1s each of which had to require KB5002099 to be uninstalled manually on several hundred machines.

Uninstalled KB5002099 and the KB4484211 is still causing Access to lock.
