KB4295110 - Update for Windows 1709

Some of our customers are seeing KB4295110 in Windows Update - but it is not available to be deployed in BigFix. Does anyone have any insight into why this is that way?

The KB article doesn’t provide any download links and it’s not available in the MS catalog either. If the patch isn’t made available through these channels, BigFix is unable to provide content for it.

That is interesting, because quite literally it was listed as an update in Windows Update on a WIndows 10 1709 system today.

The KB article specifically says:

How to get this update

Only certain builds of Windows 10, version 1709 require this update. Devices that are running those builds will automatically get the update downloaded and installed through Windows Update.

This update is also offered directly to Windows Update Client for some devices that do not have the most recent updates installed.

That explains why it’s not in the update catalog.

Might explain why not in catalog, but my machine stops downloading it after reaching 38% and with no error code.
