How are you handling MacOS OS patching with these types of updates that do not have an Action?
If you have an MDM there might be some additional functionality available within the MDM controls using MDM APIs, but if not your best bet is probably to use Nudge to keep prompting the user for the update. The way MacOS handles updates, requiring user intervention is extremely frustrating and hard to enforce without using an MDM. Apple allows MDMs to force MacOS patches through specific commands.
We currently use Workspace One for our MDM and use a script that they have which leverages their MDM to force the updates based on configuration profiles but if you don’t have an MDM I would encourage you to look at Nudge. FYI - In full transparency I don’t know what BigFix MDM capabilities are for enforcing MacOS updates. Perhaps someone from HCL can provide more information on that.
